APAture is an annual Asian Pacific American arts festival hosted by San Francisco’s Kearny Street Workshop.

This year’s festival runs from September 18-27. The festival kicks off next Thursday, September 18, at the Space 180 Gallery and fills the week with events every day. With spoken word, theatre, visual art, comedy, and more, this year’s festival features tres cool APA artists like comedian Samantha Chanse coming straight from the NYC run of her play Lydia’s Funeral Video, comic artist and fellow UC alumna Hellen Jo, and organizations like Youth Speaks!

I will also be performing for APAture on September 20 at their SPEAK OUT event at the Manilatown Center in San Francisco. The performance also features artists from Youth Speaks, and cool local poets, Yael Villafranca, George Reyes, and Conrad Panganiban.

Come for some good poetry and good fun and be sure to check out the rest of the APAture 2008 events coming through the next two weeks!
